Why am I receiving SCA Compliance warnings? Print

Starting September 14th, EU regulation mandates Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) for many online payments. When it goes into effect, a form of two-factor authentication is required for many card payments.

That said, the European Banking Authority published new guidance on 21 June 2019, which allows national regulators to postpone the SCA enforcement date for select banks and payment providers. The following national regulators have issued public statements about the enforcement timeline for online payments with cards issued in their country:

Austria - temporary extension
Belgium - working on a phased implementation plan
Cypros - temporary enforcement extension
Denmark - 18 month implementation period
Finland - temporary enforcement extension
France - 18 month implementation period
Germany - temporary enforcement extension
Greece - phase-in period
Ireland - temporary enforcement extension
Italy - working on a phased implementation plan
Luxembourg - temporary enforcement extension
Malta - temporary enforcement extension
Netherlands - working on a phased implementation plan
Norway - temporary enforcement extension
Poland - temporary enforcement extension
Slovenia - temporary enforcement extension
Spain - working on a phased implementation plan
UK - 18 month phase-in period

The GlobalFood engineering team is actively working to get this implemented. In order to provide PCI compliant card services to clients they have partnered with a company that handles most of the underlying card charging infrastructure. Unfortunately they are still changing / adding things to the integration as of today. This means the GlobalFood devs cannot move as fast as they wish due to some external dependencies.
They are aware of the urgency of this topic and are treating it with priority but won't be able to support all payment providers with PSD2 compliance from 14th September.

Please accept our apologies and thank you for your understanding.
