Only accepting advanced orders / pre-bookings Print

When customers place an "Order for later" there are two cases:

A) Your restaurant is open at the time the order is placed (for example 7PM in the evening):
In this case the order is pushed to the order taking app right away and there is a clear indicator that the fulfillment date and time is in the future.

B) Your restaurant is closed at the time the order is placed (for example 3AM at night):
In this case the order is queued until the restaurant is next open. Once you open the order is pushed to the order taking app and there is a clear indicator of the fulfillment date and time.

If you wish to stop customers from placing orders at any other times, then the restaurant must be set as closed.
Please remember though that orders are only pushed through to the app when the restaurant is open.

If you wish to receive the orders in advance, then a workaround would be to setup brief 5-10 minute opening times, so that orders can be pushed through to your app or you can view the orders via the reports section of the restaurant admin.

The settings for order for later module can be found here:

Order for later can be set to maximum 8 days in advance.
